The 3rd National Seminar on Educational Policy and Management and the International Conference on Empirical Research in Education aims to socialize national and international experiences of educational policies about Full-Time Schools as well as its implementation. In addition, it offers the possibility to discuss the first results of the research project on full time schooling, experiences from Brazil and Germany, conducted by researchers of the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS) in cooperation with researchers from the Pädagogischen Hochschule Freiburg. The topic Full-Time School becomes relevant due to the current proposal for the new Brazilian National Education Plan ( PNE), which entails that until 2020, 50% of the public schools in Basic Education will extend their daily activities, to a minimum of seven hours a day. The state and municipal schools, as well as a federal high school, need to or have already begun to implement a new organization of educational work, including the cooperation of non-school, civilian participants. With the National Program Mais Educação (More Education). Researchers, as well as city/state school management participants, teachers and community stakeholders are invited to participate in this event to discuss Full-Time-Education in general workshops, technical meetings and panel discussions. It is expected, therefore, to contribute to public policies for the development of education in the state of Sergipe.
